Got my test results back. Everything is normal, but I'll be constantly monitored to make sure there isn't any adrenal gland dysfunction.

Which beats surgery any day of the week.

WOOT!

Do they still suspect your BCPs are making you sick?

My guess is that the birth control pills are creating a binding globule that is making the cortisol more visible in my standard blood panels. But the free cortisol levels appear to be normal - well at least normal for me, since I tend to run a bit higher than everyone else.

However I will continue the 24 hour urine and dexamethasone tests every three months or so to make sure that my pituitary and adrenal glands are functioning properly.

Yay!

However, what type of BCP have you been using? Are you going to switch to a different type or brand?

Right now I'm using Syeda, one of the generics for Yasmine. I started on Ocella, then Zarah, and am now starting my second month on the Syeda.

As far as I can tell, I'll be sticking with my current prescription. I haven't heard anything about switching.
