2) Give me an AU setting.
3) I will write you a three-sentence fic.

And now, because it's not listed anywhere, a list of my pairings:

Ships Ahoy! )

The ever elusive list of my ships. I don't know if I've ever posted a comprehensive list before. XD I may have to copy/past this to my profile or something.

Since I'm going to sit down in earnest today and start sewing like a mad woman, background noise is a must. With only the lining and interfacing sewn together, I still have quite a bit of work to do. Since it's been a while since I've watched Fruits Basket, I'm going to put that in while I work. It makes for great background noise, and since I've seen it enough times that I don't need to actually watch it. Other than sewing, I really only need to poke at the dishes, make the beds (both master and guest bedrooms), and run to the bank since I got paid yesterday.

I think I'm going to finally order my shoes today, but I'm debating if I get the sevens or the eights. I suppose with the eights I can wear socks over my tights to pad around my feet or easily put inserts in that won't crowd my feet...I think the eights win. I could theoretically wear the sevens - my Doc Martens are sevens and they are by far the most comfortable shoes I own. At any rate, I'm planning on ordering my shoes from Clockwork Couture, since they have by far the most reasonable price on the shoes I want and since they're based of out California, the shipping isn't atrocious. What I'm looking forward to is telling my husband that I put another $50-$60 on the credit card. XD No doubt he'll just sigh and roll his eyes.

Anyway, I should get going. Steamcon is in mid October, but in mid-October I hope to be mostly done with the dress I'll be making for my husband's company Christmas party - though part of me kind of wants to do it off the rack this year. And while I do have a whole two months to get this dress sewn, I'd prefer to get it done sooner rather than later, as I am horrible about procrastinating.

On our way to Sakura-con back in April, [livejournal.com profile] sideshow_ericka asked if I had ever heard the song "G33k & G4m3r Girls" by Team Unicorn. I shook my head, because despite seeing it plastered all over my Twitter feed in the previous weeks, I had never felt the urge to actually click the link to watch the video. E just gave me "the look" which roughly constitutes a glare mixed with "What the hell is wrong with you?"

She grabbed her iPod and brought the song up as we were driving along. She didn't even sing along so I could hear the words.

Mind=blown

Seriously, how did I not know about this song?! Admittedly, it's a parody on the idea that geek and gamer girls are so rare they're basically the real world equivalent of unicorns, but that doesn't change the fact that it's 1) absolutely fucking hilarious and 2) fits most of my fandoms.

Music video and lyrics behind the cut!! )

I showed this to my husband a few nights ago and he couldn't stop laughing. "Oh my God," he wheezed at me, "it's you! It's so totally you!" He then asked if there was somewhere he could get the song. Lucky for him, I had recently downloaded it. I put it on his flash drive so he could crank it in his car (gotta love a stereo system that supports USB connectivity, right?). And now every time he hears Katy Perry's "California Gurls" he starts singing the words to "G33k & G4m3r Girls" instead.

Meme from [livejournal.com profile] earthstar_moon:

1. Comment with "DON'T SAY GOOD-BYE!"
2. I will give a letter.
3. Post the names of five fictional characters and your thoughts on each.

1) Tamaki Suoh - Ouran High School Host Club: Oh Tamaki-kun, you're just precious. No. Really. He's a total moron, truth be told, but he's so genuinely sweet that you can't help but think of him like a humanoid golden retriever.

2) Tohru Honda - Fruits Basket: She's a special brand of love that can defrost even the coldest of hearts. Like Tamaki, she's genuinely sweet, but behind her kind smile is a seriously broken girl. Thankfully, for all the love she gives she seems to inspire it in return.

3) TARDIS - Doctor Who: Don't tell me the TARDIS isn't a character. She is! She stole a Time Lord (or the Time Lord stole her, we're not sure) so she could see the universe! She knows the Doctor's moods and knows where he should be even when he's not entirely sure where he should be. She will always be his sexy thing.

4) Tenebrae - Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World: In a world of either super cheerful determinators or really angsty emo heroes and villans, we got Tenebrae, All Mighty Snarker and Centurion of Darkness. A welcome breath of fresh air as he snarked and sniped about EVERYTHING.

5) Trowa - Gundam Wing: I can't even pinpoint why I love him. Just everything about his character, the hidden depths that we're teased with but rarely see is probably the main reason, though. That, and I thoroughly approve of his use of MORE DAKKA to get the job done. One Macross Missile Massacre coming up!

That said, I really had to wrack my brain to come up with answers for this, as Tamaki and Tohru were the only ones who came to mind. The rest required sifting through my different fandoms to find characters who qualified. Apparently there aren't a lot of characters whose names start with the letter T in my fandoms. Hmmm.

I think that about sums it up, yeah?
mercy_angel_09: (Shake it Like a Poloroid Picture)
I decided that tonight was a good a night as any to relive some of my high school days. I've been poking through various episodes of Sailor Moon (dubbed, because that was all I had back then) and while I don't deny that the story is good and the characters well constructed, it really comes down to the localization.

And while I could certainly write a long entry on the pros and cons of localization and how it's changed in the last ten or so years that I've been a fairly "hardcore" anime fan, I find that to be an entry for another day.

Ultimately we shouldn't be so hard on the DiC dub of Sailor Moon, especially since it was dubbed almost twenty years ago. (Yes, I know. My brain just made the @A@ face, too.) Back then the market for anime titles for girls was small. They took the content and then worked it into something that would sell, and hot damn if it didn't. Sailor Moon is probably one of the main reasons why anime is considered mainstream entertainment today. Admittedly, it's now becoming a niche market again versus the wide appeal it had the mid-2000s, but I think part of the reason why the public accepts it readily as a form of entertainment is because shows like Sailor Moon paved the way.

And to be fair, companies had been re-writing anime plots for a long time at that point. Voltron, G-Force and even Speed Racer barely resembled their Japanese counterparts by the time American localizers were done with them. (And let's not even get started on Robotech. No...just, no.) DiC did the same.

The problem was that Sailor Moon's popularity peaked right about the time the Internet became readily available to everyone. It suddenly became very easy to get online and see what had been removed, edited and out and and out changed from the original. We became aware that we weren't getting "the whole story" and fans realized that this was actually common with the anime shows we were familiar with. Suddenly the fans cried out for the unchanged episodes, for a more faithful translation, and slowly but surely the anime industry in the United States shifted to reflect these demands. But that didn't change the fact that Sailor Moon had been edited into something that shared only the basic plot with it's original material.

I will never forget the fond memories I had from the DiC (and later Cloverway) dub of Sailor Moon. I can track my growth as a fan with that series. (And wow, is it embarrassing. When you realize that you were once "that fan" you realize that you can't really bring yourself to mock them anymore.) My baby sister and I bonded through the show. And I don't regret it.

Not one bit.

But now that I'm older I find that I want the original run of the show. I want it completely unedited, with its more complex story lines and character growth. I find this about a lot of shows that I loved when I was in high school. I find myself watching The Vision of Escaflowne and Mobile Suit Gundam W and truly enjoying the more complex plots, rather than giggling like a little girl over the more inane parts.

I have developed a deep love affair with Japanese animation that won't end any time soon. I'm pretty sure I'm going to become "that parent" who cheerfully takes the kids to anime conventions, probably at some point dressing up my daughter as Chibi-Usa while I play Neo-Queen Serenity. (Husband will be mysteriously absent during these times, I have no doubt - if anyone asks I'll say that Mamoru is going through one of his brainwashed and crazy phases again.) And I will revel in it.

And there will be no regrets.

I adore Mayasa Onosaka. Like, ADORE-and-would-probably-stalk-him-at-a-con-if-given-the-proper-opportunity.

So how is it that I'm just now realizing that he's the seiyuu for Jedite? Suddenly, Zelos just became a million times funnier in my mind. As it stands, after I made the Zelos/Vash/Leeron connection I about died giggling.

If I leave the "fuck" out of that quote it loses its punch. Anyway today is Christmas Eve and for those on my F-list who are celebrating tonight, please be safe. :)

Last night I watched the end of Slayers Try while my husband made pies. Yes, pies as in more than one. One chocolate pecan pie and one deep dish apple pie with crystallized ginger. Anyway, I've reached the conclusion that Slayers Try one long detour in the Slayers-verse that really doesn't move the plot along and really doesn't do much as far as character development goes. It hammers home a couple of points though:

1) Lina is absolutely terrified of her older sister Luna - and probably with good reason.

2) Xelloss lives to cause trouble, and love and kindness is actually quite a good weapon against him.

3) Lina is also very much aware of the fact that the minute that she stops being useful to Xelloss he has absolutely no qualms about killing her, but she doesn't care because as long as they're mutually beneficial to each other, she has nothing really to worry about. Besides, she does has the ultimate weapon to use against him - Amelia the ultimate genki girl.

I also watched the first episode of Slayers Revolution, which was a little jarring as I had just watched the first three seasons in English and switched to Japanese. I do prefer the Japanese cast to the English cast, but I had gotten used to them (except for Xelloss - what the hell were the casting directors thinking hiring David Moo for him?!). As it stands Funimation only has the first two episodes of Revolution up on Hulu, so it's much more prudent to watch it in Japanese.

Today I made an apple crisp for dessert to take to my mother's place tomorrow, all while listening to White Christmas. I thought about putting in the DVD, but I wasn't really watching it and it's more on for background noise. My husband has sighed and rolled his eyes several times when I quote or sing along with the movie, because yes, I've seen it that many times. I should probably start trying to figure out what the hell I'm wearing tonight, as tonight is the Christmas Eve celebration with my husband's family.

I don't know if I've ever gone over the Christmas routine, but for those of you who are new, here's the run down.

My husband's family celebrates Christmas on Christmas Eve with the big family dinner and games. There usually family pictures as well - which means I should probably remember to bring my tripod and charge up my camera battery. We don't have to be over there until 5, and I'm also swinging by my sister's place (the one I'm more or less estranged from) in order to pick up a few things from my dad and I'm debating if I should take his present. I'm not entirely sure if I want to go over tomorrow, so I may just take it and be done with it.

Christmas Day is when my family celebrates. Christmas morning my husband and I will open our gifts to each other, and then go over to my in-law's house for breakfast and presents. Once we're done there, we'll probably spend a couple of hours getting gifts put away and then head over to my mom's house and we'll do presents and then dinner - this time my brother and grandparents will be there. Things are pretty chill - hang out and play games and enjoy each other's company.

At any rate I think I'm just gonna chill out the rest of this afternoon.
mercy_angel_09: (Shigure WTF)
I'm fairly used to weird dreams. By all accounts they usually make sense shortly after I wake up. It's after a couple of hours that it strikes just how genuinely WEIRD they are.

So my husband and I have gotten series 5 of the new Doctor Who from Netflix and have been gleefully working our way though the episodes. Matt Smith is a adorkable, and while he is not David Tennant, he's doing a damn fine job of establishing his own idiosyncratic version of the Doctor. He even wrote fanfiction for it. (Ascended fanboy, in a sense, much like Tennant before him and of course series executive producer Steven Moffatt.)

The last episode I watched was The Time of Angels. Those of you familiar with the new Who, know o the rather infamous episode "Blink" in which Steven Moffatt successfully scared the SHIT out of everyone, adult and child, who watched it.

"Don't blink. Don't even blink. Blink and you're dead. They are fast, faster than you could believe, don't turn your back, don't look away, and don't blink. Good luck."

The cosmic horrors known as the Weeping Angels return. In the first part of a two parter. And let me tell you, I wasn't happy when I heard that the Angels were returning and I certainly wasn't happy about the episode last night. Steven Moffatt is very, VERY good at scaring you shitless. He's also very good at tugging on your heartstrings, if "The Empty Child"/"The Doctor Dances" and "The Girl in the Fireplace" are any indication. Because I can't stand the Weeping Angels and have been having nightmares about them for the last couple of days, I decided it was time to binge on Slayers Try to try and get something funny implanted in my brain to dream about instead.

Didn't dream about the Burn Notice season finale, though, as most loose ends were tied up and I usually don't dream about that unless I'm dreaming of Miami and suddenly Bruce Cambpell walks by but it's NOT Bruce Campbell he only looks like Bruce Campbell...

So when I started dreaming I was dreaming of Slayers and the Weeping Angels.

Wait, WHUT.

Yup, apparently Zelgadiss had some sort of immunity to the Angels because he's part golem (something about stone being immune, I guess?) and Lina was attempting Dragon Slave them out of existence. I think she decided to use the Giga Slave when I woke up. And was confused as all get out.

"What the FUCK did I eat last night that would make me dream about that?!"

Anyway, post lunch will find me making phone calls on the behalf of the KNRC. My main concern is getting my cell phone to cooperate, especially since the battery is getting old and dies a lot quicker than it did when I got it. Of course I have the charger handy, but that's a royal pain to deal with. Oh well, not much I can do about it.

Anyway, FOOD!!

Got a Christmas card from [livejournal.com profile] lukecanwaltz88 today! *does the Snoopy dance* Thanks a bunch, hon! I don't think I have enough time to send you a Christmas card in return, but I'll try to shoot you a New Year's card.

Secondly, finished Slayers NEXT while finishing up my present wrapping this afternoon. I noticed at the end of the series they starting pairing everyone off, including canon foreigners Martina and Zangulus - the latter being paired together. Much to my amusement. I'll probably start in on Slayers Try here before too much longer. I have no idea what to expect, as from Try on I haven't seen any episodes. But I'm really enjoying the series. Count me as one of the faithfully converted.

Anyway, real life marches on. My dad rolls into town in less than a week, my mom and her mom have their birthday on Sunday and I think I need to deep clean the apartment one more time on the off chance that my dad is, in fact, going to stay here. I've also nearly completed the high school scrapbook. I only have a handful of pictures from freshman and sophomore year, especially since I didn't get my first camera until the end of my freshman year. I have quite a few pictures from junior and senior year, but they're darn near all the same. It is kind of fun going though them, though. So many memories. Not all of them pleasant, but there's nothing to be gained by forgetting them.

I'm five minutes back into the Slayers fandom and I've already done archive diving for smut. Lina/Gourry smut. Written by [livejournal.com profile] dqbunny no less. Tee-hee!

At any rate, I've managed to watch the first four episodes of the first season and I'll probably keep picking away at it during loads of laundry and phone calls to potential dessert donors this week. Also somewhere in there I need to recover the guest room, which will probably include finding a way to either hang Sheena or clear out more drawers so I can fold her up and put her away because guess what, she can actually fit in a drawer and doesn't need to be hung up. I can probably get away with folding up the My Little Pony as well and attempt to free up some space in the closet because hoo-boy it's near to bursting.

Huh. Maybe I should just tackle the guest room full on. It's reached the point that you can't even see the bed any more because it's so covered in crap. So perhaps that should be my goal - I've only been putting it off for weeks. ^^;; (I'm a master of procrastination, except for when it came to my college papers, in which case I dove straight in with reckless abandon and didn't surface until the first draft was written.) I just need to pull on a sweatshirt and get to work like I've been telling my husband that I was going to do until the shiny distractions of either the Internet, Christmas shopping or something else would come up. However I really don't have an excuse today. I have time to get the guest room cleaned out and since I've more or less reached the point of finishing my Christmas shopping online it's not like I'm going to be out of the house for hours on end attempting to find that perfect gift for someone. I have the time and rather than goofing off I'm going to buckle down and JUST DO IT. /inspirational speech

Most importantly I need to get those boxes of clothes out of the guest room and ready to be taken to Goodwill. I promised my kid sister that I would let her go through them so that she could pick out the stuff she wanted and then whatever was left would be donated. If I'm not gonna wear them and she's not gonna wear them, might as well get them to somebody who will. Wins all around.

I also want to write a thinky post about slacktivism and the latest Facebook trend. Facebook and Twitter are breeding grounds of slacktivism, something I was thinking about today as I was going about my morning routine. But that can wait for later. Much later. I may need to do a little research and get back to everyone with that.

Ahh, nothing quite like a trip down memory lane. )
mercy_angel_09: (Meeko compass)
I had forgotten about how much I love Last Exile. When I finished Saiyuki RELOAD I browsed my collection to find something else to put in. I decided that it was high time for Last Exile, though that was mostly fueled by, "The show was done in 16:9. I have a 16:9 TV. The Blu-Ray player automatically up converts anything it plays to look something akin to hi-def. So that means..." *cue wide-eyed fangirl stare* "Dude, it's gonna look AWESOME."

And I was right. Last Exile in standard def is pretty freakin' amazing, but in hi-def (or up converted to high def) it's STUNNING. Breathtakingly beautiful. I plowed through all 26 episodes of the course of a few days, watching two or three DVDs in a day. The thing about Last Exile is either you love it or you hate it. The pace is on the slow side. Rather than hitting you with non-stop action or plot twists, it goes along at a more subtle pace, allowing for character development at a more natural momentum. Personally, I loved that it went a bit slower than traditional action/adventure stories. I loved the the artwork by Range Murata. I loved the music by Dolce Triade (I have both soundtracks on CD - the official US releases - if that's any testament to just how much I love it). I loved the English voice cast. I loved everything about it, so naturally I bought the DVDs.

Now that it's done I feel a little sad, and will have to pick out something else to watch. Maybe I start up Outlaw Star again, and go with something faster paced and bit raunchier.

In other news, I spent most of the afternoon fighting with the zipper, and finally managed to install it ten minutes ago. It's not pretty but it's in, meaning that tomorrow I'll finish the lining, attach the back and possibly hem it. I always save the slip stitching for last, mostly because I find it's relaxing to finish a project by sitting on the couch watching movies while I absentmindedly poke my finger numerous times. (Hopefully that is now a thing of a past because I now own a thimble. It's purple.) My major goal is to get this done before November, I've done sewing and NaNo at the same time, and while it's possible, I really don't like spreading myself thin like that.

Speaking of NaNo, I'm still working on characters. I'm going to try and pound out a few more this evening, just so that I have a completed cast list. Last year I was still working on the cast list as I started writing and I really disliked wasting time I could have spent writing on minor character profiles.
mercy_angel_09: (Default)
I forgot how fantastically puntastic ADV's dub of Saiyuki is. Geneon's dub of RELOAD is much closer to the original script, and in some cases the casting seems a bit...off. Not that I don't like the cast - I actually quite approve of a lot of their other roles - they're just not the ADV cast who took their characters and put their own life into them. At any rate, got through the first two discs of RELOAD today. My husband sat and watched them, much to my surprise. Anime as a general rule isn't his thing, so I rather enjoy it when he sits down and watches my shows with me. :)

As to the dress, the bodice is half way constructed and I officially started on the skirt. Of course, as I was making marks on the fabric for construction purposes, the pencil lead broke and I couldn't find my sharpener. After turning the guest room inside out I decided that I would just have to go and buy another. Since I was going out, I found a black dress for Lydia, spray in black hair dye for Lydia and Sheena, red and black eyeshadow for Wrath (the black eye shadow will also serve as eyebrow coloring for Sheena and Lydia), and false eye-lashes. Mostly so my eyelashes show up in photos for Sheena and Lydia, but I'll probably end up wearing them for the Christmas party. If I have them, might as well use them. ^_^

When I got home I decided that I would put the newly acquired pencil sharpener in the all purpose art drawer in a set of storage containers that live in the guest room closet. Which is when I found the missing sharpener sitting right next to my jewelry box.

Head, meet wall.

But I've decided that this isn't totally for bust. I'm going to put the spare sharpener into my sewing basked so I can always sharpen my fabric pencils when need-be.

Anyway, I should figure out what I want for dinner tonight. Part of me is feeling really lazy and thinking that leftovers are in order.
mercy_angel_09: (Witch Hunter Robin)
So the fabric for the dress is now cut out, leaving just the lining and underlining for tomorrow. Hopefully that won't take me too terribly long and if I'm lucky, I might even be able to start sewing tomorrow. However, if I don't get the chance, I'll just start sewing on Wednesday. Once the dress is finished I'll move on to Lydia's cape. I've decided that I need to find a black tunic of some kind to wear under the cape. I also need to order the Beetlejuice costume and mask for my husband. As I've said before, I have enough on my plate without making that particular costume, so I'm going for lazy and will be buying it. I've looked on various costume websites and I can possibly get both the costume and the mask for less than 50 bucks. Works for me.

In other news, I'm seeing a lot of buzz about the Supernatural animation. I don't actually watch the show, but I'm familiar with Studio Madhouse's work, as well as with a good chunk of the cast. Also, Raven, I'm going to screw with your head a bit and inform you that Sam's Japanese voice actor is the same guy who does Dr. Franken Stein in Soul Eater. You're welcome. Have fun trying to shake that image from your brain while listening to Sam talk. The main cast (Sam, Dean, Mary and John) is pretty solid, and I'm sure they'll round out the secondary and tertiary characters with some other fairly well known names. Well, well known if you watch copious amounts of anime. (Like me. Hi, guilty as charged. Just look at my icon for cryin' out loud.)

Third, I have no idea what to do for dinner. The plausible options are still way too frozen to be cooked, leading me to believe that I should just settle for "whatever" I can find. We've got a few options, but they're not really all that appetizing right now. Hmmm.

Finally, there's this:

Yes, that is Grover. Yes, he is parodying the Old Spice Guy. Yes, it is awesome, why do you ask.
mercy_angel_09: (Gojyo)
So I took the time a few nights ago to get caught up on Saiyuki RELOAD and Saiyuki RELOAD Blast and Saiyuki Ibun. TokyoPop is dragging their feet (or they just haven't gotten all the chapters) on volume 10 of RELOAD and hopefully when they're done with that, they've move on to Gaiden (which is complete) and then RELOAD Blast and Ibun. The former of those last two titles tells us that it's been two years since they've all left Cheng'an, so Sanzo is now 25, Hakkai and Gojyo are now 24 and Goku is 20 (plus or minus 500 years - no one knows how old he really is). The latter is Koumiyou Sanzo's back story, telling about his training to be a Sanzo monk and how he ended up with the Manten scripture - a sutra traditionally held by a youkai (...it makes sense in context). I'm fairly certain that Ibun will probably run all the way through to Koumiyou Sanzo's death, and perhaps we'll see Kouryuu's childhood from his point of view. I've always had this sneaking suspicion that Koumiyou Sanzo knew that his death was rapidly approaching, which is why he named Kouryuu as his successor at such a young age.

Also, while reading, I found two of the scariest images in Saiyuki history: here and here.

Proof that body swapping in the Saiyuki 'verse is NOT OKAY.

Needless to say, I have saved those images to my computer and I'm now coloring them in Corel Painter. X3 Icons will be made and shared, if you were wondering. I may also take the opportunity to see if I can find artbook scans that will also be turned into icons. Anyway.

Today's big project will be cleaning the oven. Of course that means five hours that I can't leave the house. So while I thought that I might go and buy fabric, I realized that it probably won't happen today. Tomorrow it is! Right now the oven is mocking me, as are the dishes, so I really should get going on them. It's relatively cool out today - I think it's only supposed to be in the low seventies out today. Perfect, considering that the oven will be heating up to something like 900 degrees while it cleans itself.
mercy_angel_09: (Renge)
I got up this morning, had breakfast, and then did the 30 minute free ride in Wii Fit Plus. I am now exhausted with very little energy to even sit on the couch like a bump on a log.

And now for some thoughts about what I've been reading/watching as of late.

Cut for spoilery-type thoughts. )

Anyway, I don't know if I have any big plans for today. The husband and I are going to head to Costco to wander around. I want to see if I can find an electric toothbrush that isn't huge. I've been using a different head on my husband's Sonicare, but the handle is so bulky I really dislike using it. Costco usually has a pretty good selection of electric toothbrushes (including the Sonicares!) so I'll see if I can find one that I like. Since I started using the Sonicare, I've noticed that my gums are a lot healthier, though that might also be in part to the regular flossing. ^^; After that, I have no idea what else. I need to finish my banner for my pins, which involves buying yarn that I'll have to pawn off on a friend who either knits or crochets. Also, cutting the dowel that I bought into two parts.

Well now, it seems my husband has prepared lunch. Later.

(Come on, guys. When did you first realize that Akio was a thorough and utterly irredeemable SOB? We all must've had one of those moments, because there's a heck of a lot to choose from.)

* This troper's sixth grade brother who'd never watched Utena in his life correctly identified him as a "bad guy" just by looking at a picture of him sitting on the couch and talking. Must've been the hair.

Personally, I disliked Akio immensely after the first episode I saw him in and I knew that he Would Not Get Better. But the fact that a viewer's twelve year old brother recognized this after just one look is what gets me. X3

Seriously, if you're ever bored, look up the "Better than it sounds" description for a laugh, even if you aren't intending on doing the meme.

IRL, my husband went fishing on Friday and is getting back sometime today. That left me to do the grocery shopping, cleaning and planting of flowers. Which was fine. Last night I hung out with [livejournal.com profile] sideshow_ericka and her housemate Krysti. We talked anime and cosplay (because even though I joined the Facebook group about how I like anime but I'm not a retard about it, I can act like a retard about it occasionally and not ALL THE FUCKING TIME) before settling down with the little bit and watching Sherlock Holmes. Which was played fantastically gay. X3

I like anime, but I'm not a retard about it. )

And speaking of work - tomorrow may or may not be my last day. The person I've been filling in for is talking to her doctor tomorrow to see if she has permission to return to work. If so, she'll be back Tuesday, if no, I'll be filling in for the rest of the week at the very least, and maybe into next week as well.
