The All Purpose Leave-Me-A-Note Post

I had someone bring this to my attention (Thanks, "Raksha"!) that my journal default does not allow for anonymous posting. Seeing as some people might wander over here from fanfiction.net, I've opted to sticky this post at the top and open up the comments to everyone who wants to drop me a note.

I do want to lay down a few comment rules:

1) Being rude will not get you any sort of special attention. Wait, no, yes it will. It will get your comment deleted and you will be ignored.

2) Please use the subject line, especially if you're commenting Anonymously. As a general rule, it would also help me keep things straight and know how to best respond to your comment.

3) I will try to get back to you. It might take me a few days (I can't be immediate on everything, though I certainly try!) but I'll get there eventually. Please be patient. It'll be worth it, I promise.

4) Constructive comments are always appreciated. You've noticed typos, spelling errors, grammatical problems and/or plot issues and want to let me know? Go for it, but please remember Rule 1 (no, no, not "Never screw over your partner" or "Never let suspects stay together"). If you're rude about it I have no incentive to listen to you.

5) If you want to discuss something with me, go right ahead and start asking questions. I'll answer them to the best of my ability. The answers may not be the ones that you want, but they'll be the ones that you'll most likely need, especially if it's a question of why I chose a particular characterization, MacGuffin, etc.

I think that about sums things up now. I'm willing to answer questions and talk over choices I've made with my writing/art/etc. if you want. I like to think that I'm a fairly approachable person, amiable and polite at best and downright snarky when annoyed. I do not tolerate bullshit in any form. Be courteous and I'll be courteous in kind. If too many people abuse this, I will shut it down. Don't be the ass-hat that causes this to be shut down.

And remember, everyone, Wheaton's Law: DON'T BE A DICK.

Fanfiction Meme

Taken from [livejournal.com profile] americanfairy:

The True Fan
OOC is blasphemy, canon is everything.

Once you fall in love with a movie, book or TV series, you are loyal like an old dog. You take fanfiction quite serious and use it as a substitute after the canon ran out.

You are probably a walking dictionary of your favourite fandom and you are picky about what you write and read. The closer to the "real thing" fanfiction is, the more you like it.

You rather explore a character in all depth, see new sides and learn more about them than creating new characters or mix up the situations they are in.

Y'know, I actually believe this. And if you feel so inclined, you can take the quiz here. You will have to create an OkCupid account to see your results but you don't have to do anything with it after that.

Or you could do more quizzes. XD
