A Little Bit of Fall

In the spirit of fall, I give you this:

Photobucket

The kitty belongs to my parents (her name is Snuzzle). She's strictly an indoor kitty (except for this photo XD), which explains the "ZOMGWTF" face. Poor girl. Anyway, her function is to show the size comparison to the rogue pumpkin on my parent's back patio. The neighbors planted pumpkins and the vine crept over the fence and gave them a few volunteers. Both will be out on the front porch for Halloween (amongst the pirate ship and other shenanigans that go on on Halloween and the day before), since my parents would hate to waste a couple of perfectly good pumpkins.

Anyway, it's an awesome picture. (My mother used to be a professional photographer, can you tell?) And very seasonal.

We jokingly call my baby brother Linus because he has this blue blanket that he used to take everywhere with him. Any more he as about three blankets to choose from and whenever he goes to spend the night somewhere, he takes one with him.

The Great Pumpkin and Linus. We have them both. XD

That's hilarious! We had a Linus, too. He eventually grew out of it, but I remember when my brother would take his white blanket everywhere.

No pumpkins, though. We tried to grow pumpkins for years and it was always a flop.

We once asked my brother what he planned on doing with his blanket when he outgrew it (he had to have been seven or eight). He quite seriously responded that he might turn it into a sport coat.

As in he directly quoted Linus in A Charlie Brown Christmas.

I don't know if he'll outgrow his blankets, though. He's fourteen and he still takes them when he has to spend the night somewhere.
