Confessions of a Shoe Whore
I like shoes. Correction. I love shoes. Seriously. I could be one of those women who could have an entire closet devoted to just SHOES.
That said, that cute sundress that I bought on Saturday is asking for new shoes. Now, the cute sandals that Trav got on Saturday would actually look cute, but I don't know why but I'm having a hang up about having the same shoes as Trav. I think that whole being dressed identically as a child has come back to affect my adult life in a very strange way. >_o At any rate, I do have a pair of brown (light brown sugar brown) Italian leather wedge heels that I can wear with this dress that will do in a pinch, but until then I'm hunting for a pair of shoes that will match this dress.
This is, of course, something that my husband will NEVER understand. As it stands, he couldn't understand why I had to buy shoes specifically for my Care Bear and Steampunk cosplays. ^^;; However those are a pair of yellow Mary Jane ballet flats and Dr. Marten boots that match my costumes perfectly, and therefore were necessary. Despite what he might say. (Though he was the one who bought the Dr. Martens when I said that I didn't need them but I really wanted them....)
The biggest problem is finding a pair of shoes in an appropriate style to match this dress, as well as in coordinating colors. Neutral tones are good for this dress, so that the teal is the sole source of color.
On a surprising side note, I have a pair of earrings with stones that are the exact same teal color read to go as the jewelry choice. I suppose I could find some bangles to wear as well, but aside from that, I don't think jewelry is necessary.
