amberdexterious 's face when I told her this evening at her restaurant. It was pretty priceless. I really don't mean to freak people out...wait...never mind, yes, I do. ^^ I do get some perverse joy out of messing with people's heads.
At any rate, the meeting he has to attend could easily been done by tele-conference, saving the company all of the money that they would have to shell out for airfair, checked luggage (though I don't think he's taking any since he's only going to be gone for three days) , food, a hotel and so on. Further proof that the government cannot do anything correctly. Or government contractors for that matter.
And people wonder why I'm not all gung ho for government run health care. But I digress.
I always knew that things like this would happen, after all, one of his company's main offices is in Maryland and his being someone who has to act as a gofer between them and where he works. Also, it's only fair seeing as I've taken off for plenty of trips without him - visitingchaosblue and irksnapple with travellyr , going to Anime Expo with sideshow_ericka, and other trips along those lines. Of course...he's usually going hunting or fishing while I'm away, so I usually don't feel THAT bad because we're both doing something. The exception being AX because he had to work through most of that.
Guh...I'm gonna be bored without him. And the bed's gonna be cold without my Norwegian Heating Unit.
