My biggest issue is figuring out how to make it all work together. I can see something as insidious as the Weeping Angels in the Slayers-verse and something like the Giga Slave working against them.
I also had issues with the second episode of s.5 because it felt like a contrived coincidence that Amy was the one who saved the day. I really, really don't want her to turn into s.2 Rose, who was almost like a God Mode Sue who could do no wrong and was the one who was going to save the day when the Doctor fell short. I want her to mess up and make mistakes (and by make mistakes not save the world because she was ultimately right in the end). I want to see her utterly broken by something beyond her (and the Doctor's) control.
I adored Martha and Donna, though Donna would have to be my hands down favorite. I liked Rose in season one, but I felt they derailed her in season two. I'm still on the fence about Amy. She could possibly redeem herself in later episodes. We'll see
