Get Your Clog On!
Dec. 17th, 2008 09:01 amSo
desertkitsune called me Sunday (or was it an IM?) to see what I was doing tonight. As it turns out she has a pair of tickets to see Lord of the Dance while it's here in Tri-Town. Now, I'm fairly in touch with my Irish heritage and I love traditional Celtic music as well as step dancing. She is every bit into her Irish heritage as I am, so this seemed like the greatest idea EVAR. However the weather isn't cooperating with us, as it wants to dump MORE snow on us, starting tonight.
So, I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. I want to go see this because it's something that I probably won't get to ever see in person again, but if the weather is bad, I don't want to be out in it. Hence the dilemma. ><
I'm going to see what the weather does today, and perhaps it'll be decent enough that I can go and not have to worry about the awful weather (or not!). Don't get me wrong, I love the snow. I think it's wonderful during the winter, but oh my God, is this just INSANE. We never have this much snow (and this was the year my husband said, "Don't worry, it should be mild") and I gotta say, I'm not really enjoying the constant feeling of cold that has seemed to permiate the very core of my being.
