I realize that I am afforded a level of selectiveness that few have - I don't HAVE to work but I should. So I've been really picky when it comes to finding a job. Ridiculously so. But I do need to find a job so perhaps it's time to suck it up and just find one. (For the record, I've officially "applied" to a couple of different places and have handed in my resume to several others.)
Mostly because I'm tired of my car's transmission. It's not even worth it to repair the transmission - the value of the car is still worth less than what the repairs would cost. Even if we put quite a bit of money into really fixing the car up, we'll still get less than what we put into it.
And because I missed out on the CARS program (because we couldn't find the car that I wanted locally, coupled with delay because of family obligations) I now am relegated to looking for a used car. I have three conditions that must be met: working AC, four doors, and automatic transmission. Those are non-negotiable. Granted the car even ends up being for me. The other option is that my husband wants a truck - nothing fancy because anyone who knew what he drove in high school knows that working AC is leaps and bounds above what he's used to - and he'll drive the truck every day and I'll drive the Fit. If the car does end up being for me, it'll be a small car, no bigger than a mid-size. Enough for me to haul friends around if I want, and also haul around stuff.
Why did my poor little Taurus have to get hit? Yes it was old, but it only had 80,000 miles on it - and still had a lot of life left on it and some punk took the corner too fast and slammed into it. TT_TT I didn't even have a chance to name it. DX I would have been spared all of this agony if my Taurus hadn't been hit! (Though I'd probably still be getting a job because I want da monies to pay for cosplay stuff.)
