Pardon me as I drop dead
Aug. 28th, 2010 03:31 pmYou know that exhausted feeling you get when you've been working your butt off for a good cause?
So do I. I know it quite well. That's how I feel right now.
The Mad Tea Party/Un-Birthday Party went off without a hitch, thank God. It was overcast when I woke up this morning and our worst fear was that it would rain. By the time the party officially started, the sun was shining and there was a nice breeze. (I was quite thankful for the breeze as I was wearing a bazillion layers (full blown crinoline and satin for the skirt)) and roasting. But the girl the party was for was happy with how everything turned out. I painted faces and socialized with the other volunteers, helped set up and take down tables, chairs, decorations, etc., and tried very hard not to pass out from heat exhaustion.
I think I'm going to take another shower, but I should probably empty out my car, first....
