Her picks for me:
1) Yoko and Kamina - made byairwaveeight
I found this one through one of the Gurren Lagann comms here on LJ. Like several people who watched Gurren Lagann, I began to ship Yoko and Kamina from the start. Something about the couple just clicked with me - I loved watching them bicker and pretend that they really didn't feel anything for each other. And then he died. Guh. Ship. Sunk. Anyway, since my whole journal layout is Gurren Lagann, I've made this my default icon. I'm rather fond of it.
2) Luna, Time for a new job! - Made by me
This is from the first episode, where Usagi's just starting to get a handle on her powers, but spends the first half of the battle crying that she'd rather be home in bed. Not that I blame her - it's a lot to adjust to. At any rate, I used this icon primarily as I was job hunting, but I use it occasionally when I think it'd be nice to have a newer, better job. Also, I made it because the expression on Luna's face is priceless - I believe that there are several episodes where she'd like to have a new job herself.
3) Kyo and Yuki, What are you looking at?! - From Funimation's official Fruits Basket Website
So I downloaded damn near all of the icons offered by Funimation for Fruits Basket or at least my favorites. I didn't even upload all of the ones I downloaded here on LJ. Again, just the favorites. I really like this one, from episode 6, where Yuki and Kyo, having accidentally transformed while Hana and Uo are visiting, are hiding under the house. Of course they're blaming each other for what happened, and I find it's a great icon to use when I'm feeling a little irritated and I'm writing about it.
4) Sheena seals Zelos - made byreconquista
So, the omake from the first episode of the Tethe'alla Arc of the Tales of Symphonia anime just cracks me up. There are a lot of reasons that make me laugh, but I think my favorite is that Sheena has had enough of Zelos's shenanigans that she seals him to try and shut him up.
5) Luna and Artemis, Surprised! - Found on Sailor Dream, A PGSM Guide
Oh God, when I found this one, I laughed. Hard. I think it's a combination of an out of context picture and the expressions on their faces. At any rate, I feel it's a great icon to use in tandem with entries that tend to be about something sudden or unexpected that came up.
