Comment to this entry and I'll pick three of your fandoms. You must then update your journal and answer the following questions:

01: What got you into this fandom in the first place?
02: Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
03: Favourite episodes/books/movies/etc.?
04: Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?
05: Do you think that more people should get into this fandom?

Ouran High School Host Club
01: What got you into this fandom in the first place?
My friends Ericka and [livejournal.com profile] desertkitsune had somehow managed to find it, so they brought it over to my place when I was having a girl's night and we hooked up my computer to the TV and watched the first four episodes or so. From there I watched the rest of the show as well as started to read the manga.

02: Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on? I'm inclined to think that I'll always be part of the fandom because it's a really great series. It's funny with a serious side, it's intelligent while being completely dumb, and it's romantic without being totally over-the-top SHOJO. It's shojo but it's not SHOJO. If anything, it kind of pokes fun at the whole shojo genre.

03: Favourite episodes/books/movies/etc.? I think my favorite episode is probably episode eight, because it's the first time that Haruhi is shown to be troubled by something other than the Host Club. There are key moments that define her relationship with both Tamaki and Kyoya in it, as well as how the rest of the club feels about her. My favorite chapter of the manga is when Tamaki finally figures out how he feels about Haruhi, as Haruhi truly realizes how she feels about him.

04: Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)? I write fanfiction, I have ideas for fanart, and I started a community here on LJ for Ouran. I'd say I'm pretty active in it.

05: Do you think that more people should get into this fandom? Oh yeah! Ouran is a great series because there's something for everyone. There's romance, comedy, action, and drama, all while never going over the top.

The Legend of Zelda
01: What got you into this fandom in the first place?
It was my cousin, I just don't if it was Oscar, or Brian, or Kevin. One of them had the game and played it. I would sit and watch, fascinated by it. I was never very good at the old school, but my interest in the series was re-awakened with the release of Ocarina of Time. After beating that game, I managed to get my hands on a copy of Link's Awakening and was totally blown away. By the time Twilight Princess was released, I was into the fandom hardcore.

02: Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on? As long as they keep making games, I'll be part of the fandom. :3

03: Favourite episodes/books/movies/etc.? My favorite game so far is Ocarina of Time, with Twilight Princess running a close second - maybe even a tie for absolute favorite. The quality of the story-telling, both in text and visually, in both games is amazing. The world is rich, it's something that's very easy to become immersed in in these games.

04: Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)? I have fanfiction in the works (but not published because it's more of a "I have a great idea and I need to write it down before I forget it), as well as several pieces of fanart. I'm also pretty active in the Zelda LJ community, particpating in discussions and whatnot.

05: Do you think that more people should get into this fandom? Zelda is one of the game franchises that everyone should experience at some time. It's considered a classic for mutliple reasons, and is an enduring title that is recognized world wide. It's not a matter of "should" it's a matter of "will." With every new game, there will be more people entering into the fandom.

Inuyasha
01: What got you into this fandom in the first place?
My buddy Ryan handed me the first season, I believe and told me to watch it. The quaility was less than stellar but I was hooked. I was already a fan of Rumiko Takahashi at the time, so it wasn't that hard for me to get into Inuyasha.

02: Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on? I seriously doubt that I'll leave the fandom. It's a favorite of mine, and I do want to get the whole series on DVD when I can.

03: Favourite episodes/books/movies/etc.? Oh my God. I don't think I can pick! I do love the very last chapter of the manga, and I have several favorite episodes through out the series, but I can almost say that the WHOLE series comprises my favorite episodes list. I think that if I really have to choose something, I'm going to pick the whole Shichinitai arc because it's a point in the series where most of the character development is set and yet you're still seeing growth.

04: Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)? Fanfiction and fanart, totally. I really should see if I can find an LJ comm just to see if other people are still active in the fandom.

05: Do you think that more people should get into this fandom? I honestly don't know. It's a good series, but not everyone likes it. To me, it's like it's been over exposed on Adult Swim and it's become something of a cliche. For me, I've always been a fan of Rumiko Takahashi's work, so I tend to recommend it on the basis that if you like Rumiko Takahashi's work (i.e. Ranma 1/2) then you'll probably like Inuyasha and try to convince people to join the fandom that way.
