Pots. Lots of them.

My husband and I decided that this weekend was not going to be spent sitting around the house. Since all Olympic coverage was on qualifiers, it really wasn't worth it to sit around and watch those. I needed thread and ribbon, so my husband ran me to Jo-Ann's so I could pick up what I needed to finish the MLP jacket.
Since we were over in the general vicinity of the mall, we stopped off there again, mainly because I need jeans. Two pairs is not going to cut it. So I picked up a third pair and a couple of shirts. When Old Navy has sales, I tend to jump on them like a cat on nip.
From there we stopped off at Fred Meyer's to put gas in his car, followed by going in to poke around for a bit. He picked up air filters, as well as a few seed packets. That's right, we're doing a balcony garden this year. The biggest challenge with the balcony garden is that we're in shade for most of the day. We get some sun first thing in the morning, but after about noon we're in the shade.
So, off to The Google to ask about good plants for partial and full shade.
This also means that my husband and I need to figure out exactly where everything on the patio will go (this includes a George Foreman grill and soon a bistro set so we can enjoy dinner outside). We'll need to fashion some to hang on the railing, the rest will be situated in pots. I may even see about a few hanging baskets.
This, of course, means that I am turning into my mother.
Oh well. I'm looking forward to some fresh veggies this summer.
