In the pursuit of higher education
Nov. 19th, 2010 12:05 pmSo I might have mentioned that I'm looking into graduate school. I still need to take the GRE - something I would have done immediately following my undergrad had I actually thought I would need it. Originally I was going to go into the Education program, which in my state requires the WEST-B and the PRAXIS II. I had taken the WEST-B and I had to finish the PRAXIS II before I could start student teaching, but the point is that I could do while I was still working on my Masters in Teaching.
Fast forward a couple of years and because I've decided to go a different direction, I'm going to need the GRE so I can apply the programs that I want. I guess this means that I need to start looking at possible locations where I can take the GRE. I know I can take it at the Washington State Univsersity Pullman campus, but I'm really hoping that I could take it at the Tri-Cities campus because it takes me two minutes to get there versus the two and a half hours it takes me to get to Pullman. (Though Pullman has it's own perks - I can visit with my godparents in Colfax and

At any rate, the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee has all of their information detailed on their page and I've put in a request for information from the University of Alabama. I asked for the materials to be mailed to me from 'Bama because I do better with something I can circle, cross-out and highlight than just my computer screen. ^^
I'm nervous and slightly terrified at the prospect of going back to school, but it needs to be done.
