On Saturday night my husband and I went to his company Christmas party.  It was held at the TRAC, which is usually the home of monster truck rallies and the annual safety expo.  It was done up to make it seem less...industrial...but that didn't change the fact that the ambiance wasn't as nice as last year, when the party was held at the Convention Center.

As some of you know I made my own dress for the party because last year was the fashion faux pas.  I was wearing the same dress as two other ladies, so this year I made it because I would sure to be the only one in my dress.  And sure enough I was.  Sadly I think I wore the wrong shoes because now I have blisters on my feet and they hurt like the dickens, even two days later.

At anyrate the party was lots of fun with good music to dance to and pleasant company to chat with.  Also I had a chance to talk to my friend Dave, who was one of the DJs for the party.  He didn't recognize me at first, but when he realized who I was, he was surprised and happy to see me.  We talked for a little while before my husband snagged me for a final dance, then we left the party so we could get some sleep.  Between his being sick, and his snoring like a chainsaw  because he's sick, we hadn't been getting much sleep.

This coming week will be spent preparing for my brother's immenent arrival, as well as trying to get my Christmas shopping out of the way.  I actually have the funds this year to do some decent shopping, but I'm going to try and not spend a ton of money on any one person, so I'm thinking of imposing a $25 limit with the exception being my husband.  Obviously I get to spend a little bit more on him.

I think I'm going to go and take a bath and soak these still tired muscles of mine.
