Honestly, within my own circle of friends and family, Burn Notice. I keep trying to convince my brother to watch it, mostly because the kid lives in Miami AND they've filmed episodes of the show on his college campus. I started watching the show because I spent the good part of the first episode I watched going, "Oh hey! I know where that is! I've been there!!" and from then on, I was hooked. (It probably didn't help that I was still harboring a fangirl crush on Jeffrey Donovan from his short stint as a charming jerk attorney on Crossing Jordan.) THAT said, tomorrow is my big day, as the fourth season of Burn Notice premiers tomorrow. :3 I may or may not be spending tomorrow doing the marathon that they'll be running on USA leading up to the premier.

"What the hell kind of play was that?!"

So...big news in the baseball world.

Ken Griffey, Jr. is retiring.

Actually, he's already retired. He will not be finishing the year. Though not wholly unexpected, it's still the sign that an end of an era has come. The Kid had it all, and I think the world would have to be insane NOT to have him as a first ballot Hall of Famer. Even while his contemporaries were flaming out on performance enhancing drugs, Giffey kept his nose clean and did what he always did.

I will always have fond memories of Griffey laughing and smiling from underneath a pile of teammates after rounding third and sliding home off of Edgar Martinez's double to beat those Damn Yankees in the AL Division series in 1995 and single-handedly saved baseball in the Pacific Northwest.

I guess this means that tomorrow I'll be watching Little Big League to remember the good old days. (And have that moment of, "Why is Luke Danes wearing a Twins uniform and acting like a complete and total ass? And what the hell is up with that suit? ...Oh yeah....")
